He’s the bad boy of the Amsterdam techno underground: Daniel Sanchez, 26 year old son of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother, who scored one of the biggest hits of the summer of 2007 with the infectious ‘Mumbling yeah’. Daniel’s ‘mumbling’ vocals give the track that special edge.
In 1989, at the same time Chicago Acid hit his hometown in the form of DJ Cosmo at Hotel De Ville, TLR - forever torn between worlds - was playing punk and early hiphop in local youth homes where asbestos was seeping through the pores. This erratic DJ career got more direction in the mid 90's when Global Darkness was founded. He became involved in organising underground Jungle parties in the totally freaked out and fucked up squat scene of the West Coast of Holland area; filled with fundamentalists, attention junkies, substance abusers, genetic experiments gone wrong and legions of crustie tekno travellers (like SP23) looking for an easy buck in the flower industry and an escape from the 1994 Criminal Justice Act.
In the late 90´s - when Jungle had died a horrible death in Drum & Bass - the first wave of The Hague electronics knocked him off his socks when Guy Tavares of Unit Moebius gave him some records of I-F, Pametex and Electronome. Their tense and narrative style was far removed from the mind numbing lifestyle crap that dominated the airwaves. It instantly brought back a love for electro that had been dormant in him since the mid 80's. When introduced to the hidden treasures in the Clone recordshop (then housed in a small and dark backroom of Rotterdam´s Urban Unit) matters really got out of hand.
In 1998 the Bunker label rose from its own ashes and the original Global Darkness crew went separate ways. He made the skeleton for www.bunker-records.com and started www.globaldarkness.com, which grew into one of the most consistent electro/disco refference points. Two years later TLR and fellow dirty brown loser DJ Schmerzlabor figured it might be a good idea to pretend there was a "Bunker Records Dirty Brown World Tour" to see who they could fool. They invited Legowelt & Orgue Electronique (at that time one of the few Bunker live acts) along to spread the dirty brown gospel.
The Bunker Team was a fact and he slowly rediscovered the Freewave pirate radio Italo/disco sounds of his childhood through the mixes of I-F and sunday afternoon sessions in the luxurious apartments of Legowelt and Orgue Electronique listening to old WBMX tapes and playing obscure records.
By the end of 2001 the Crème Organization was born. What started out as a little playground for Mr Clavio soon grew to more serious proportions with releases of Lolita Strap, Bangkok Impact and It & My Computer, Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, Alexander Robotnick and a slew of others. Crème Organization has been releasing on a rigorous schedule and quickly gained a cult following. In short, shit dun blew up. Some highlights include multiple tours of the USA, Japan and Australia and a spot for the label on the Musiclogical stage at FUSE-IN Detroit 2005
In 2006 Crème Org has further strengtened its ties wih the American Nation of Jak, by hooking up with artists like Traxx, JTC (James Cotton) and Hieroglyphic Being. 2006 also saw the release of the Robert Moog Tribute CD, a benefit release for the Dystopia project (an independent cultural centre in The Hague) with contributions from a selection of the worlds leading electronic musicians.
