Slick Chick is a 27 year-old disco-freak from Rotterdam. She started playing records about seven years ago. At the time she and her friends were throwing nonprofit parties in dirty warehouses throughout the Netherlands and beyond.

Loveland organiseert dit jaar het grootste Oud & Nieuw spektakel van Amsterdam. De organisatie viert de jaarwisseling in Amstelborgh onder de naam ‘Loveland NewYear’.
Born and raised in the Netherlands (14-05-1982) with Chilean parents, Carlos Valdes was interested in music at a very young age. At the age of 6, his parents encouraged him to develop his musical skills and he started to play the piano and sing.
From the age of 17, he started going out at night and discovered electronic music for which he developed a passion. When he first heard Rolando's classic 'Knights of the Jaguar'. He was so impressed that he decided to start buying vinyl.
At the beginning of 2001, he began mixing in a small bar in Amsterdam. Only a few months later he started playing in several clubs.
Carlos Valdes has already performed at well-known clubs and events in the Netherlands like Chemistry, Dimitri's HighTech SoulMovement, Joost van Bellen's 'Zin' at the Arena, Panama, 11, Doornroosje, Twstd, Paradiso, 5 Days Off, HQ (Melkweg Cafe), Innercity, Simplon, Toren van Babel, Poema, Winkel van SinkelThe Getaway, The Rendez Vouz, Free Your Mind Festival, Mysteryland, Sensation Black, Studio 80, Noorderslag and the Minimal area of Awakenings along side Dinky.
His first international appearance lead immediately to an offer to become a resident in Munich in Germany. Ibiza 2002 he played at The Underground and on New Year's Eve 2002 he made his first tour to Turkey together with well-known DJs like 100%ISIS and Angelo d'Onorio.
In January 2003, Carlos Valdes also made his first tour in South America where he played in various clubs, like 'Family Dance' (BA, Argentina). In 2006 he did the same tour again with Barcelona on top.
Carlos Valdes runs his own company 'Soulrock' (www.soulrock.net) and organizes several events together with others; Mad, Vreemd (www.gajalvreemd.nl), Studio Soulrock, Crackhouse at Stubnitz, and Pixel at Club 11. He co-hosted evenings with Electronation in Club More & Winston International (Amsterdam). Carlos Valdes runs his own bookingsagency and will establish a label in the near future. In 2006 he started on his own tracks together with partner in crime Sandrien & also with ZoeXenia. Carlos Valdes won a price for "Best New Initiative" from the Gouden Kabouter Award Crew. He's working hard to get his thing done and will let it grow and flow to all directions. Just like his style of mixing.
His mixing style can be described as a refreshing & creative approach, he mixes Acid House, Eectro, Minimal House & Techno and everything that comes his way and ROCKS.
