He’s the bad boy of the Amsterdam techno underground: Daniel Sanchez, 26 year old son of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother, who scored one of the biggest hits of the summer of 2007 with the infectious ‘Mumbling yeah’. Daniel’s ‘mumbling’ vocals give the track that special edge.
Tegenstellingen leiden tot de mooiste dingen, zo blijkt ook uit de samenwerking tussen disco-housemeester Hans-Peter Lindstrøm en zangeres Christabelle Sandoo, voorheen bekend als Solale.
"I am a real musicfreak since I was a little kid. In the 80's I was already listening to artists like Michael Jackson (and his family), Madonna, Prince, Queen, U2, Paul Hardcastle, Sting (& The Police), George Michael, Tina Turner, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and many others from the 80's decade.
Around 1990 I started listening to early (Chicago) house and (Detroit) techno and quickly became "addicted". In 1995 I started mixing house and techno by myself, what I still do now. In the late 90's I also (co-)organised some small underground parties. And from that time to now I have played at several clubs, bars and parties in the Netherlands,Belgium and the UK. Besides that a appeared and co-hosted at various radiostations (at the local FM).
Nowadays I still love playing (mixing) records, collecting music and off course listening to good music in general. I prefer real house and techno, oftenly with dub elements. My way of dj-ing is always eclectic and with an open mind. Sometimes it's more funky and danceble and some times its deep(er) and dark(er). From laidback to uptempo and banging. But always danceble, deep & dubby. Especially the last years I am really into playing long(er) (solo) dj-sets. That gives me the possibility to play everything what I like and to create a certain flow. During a long dj-set by me you can expect many new and unreleased tracks but also (forgotten)classics and underground oldies and from current popular floorfillers to (obscure) rarities in the mix. I play both with vinyl and cd's."
