Quince is recognized as one of Holland's biggest talents in the techno scene. Since his first release in 2006 on Amsterdam's Delsin label, he impressed with his well produced, warm house sounds.

Having collected records for many years, Cari's interest in production grew after he was introduced to the studio by a friend which led to the purchase of his first piece of kit in the late eighties. This opened up a whole new world for Cari, and he soon started to collect equipment seriously.
His passion for creating new sounds became evident as his studio grew, and as his friends developed similar interests. But, Cari's style has evolved in a different way to that of his Swedish contemporaries due to his grounding in hip-hop and electro. He displays more varied elements: distorted vocals, house and dub basslines in the mix.
After releasing material on a wealth of well-respected labels, Cari started up his own imprints with Glen Wilson (the owner of Planet Rhythm): Hybrid, Audio Pollution and Trainspotter's Nightmare. Through their success he decided to go it alone with Hybrid (the label and design company), while in 1998 he developed a sub-label (Djupt) which was a channel for more varied techno.
Unfortunately, during the summer of 1999 Hybrid was forced to become Lekebusch Productions after a legal wrangle with Awex. Currently, Cari is working on another new label Grundtakt, which will be more downtempo.
For those who haven't witnessed it, Cari also performs live with his close friend Adam Beyer. This collaboration begun in early 1999, and is set to blow up due to its incredible success.
