Artist: jefferson

DJ Jefferson started DJ-ing with records in 1997. His actual Dj-ing started back in 1992 when he played (with cd’s!) in bars and on local parties.
On a trip to London in 1997 he discovered Speedgarage and decided to take some records back home, where the hype around this new music was just beginning. It was then when he started playing with vinyl instead of cd’s.He became a regular @ the infamous Club RoXY and Joost van Bellen’s Speedfreax parties.

Since then Jefferson featured on Dutch parties like MTC, Dancevalley, the New Frontierfestival, Fast Forward parade, Chemistry, HOPE, Earth,Shockers,Output,Impulz and Silly Symphonies, with DJ's like Jeff Mills, Joost Vanbellen, Marcello, Roog, Tuff Jam, Ramsey & Fen, Pete Heller, Kenny Hawkes, Joe T. Vanelli, Soul Providers, Erick E, Michel de Heij & Remy. He also played abroad in Cannes, Bangkok, Vilnius and in Georgia among other places.
In 2000 he compiled and mixed a CD for Universal, “The Best of the DJ's” and at the beginning of 2001 he finished a mix-CD together with Quinten de Rozario called “Lethal Garage” (EDM).
With his musical partner Jeroen Krom (DJ Jerome), Jefferson also started producing as LIFT, Celestial Crew and Konstruction Dept. All their releases had a lot of support among fellow producers /Dj’s.
Jefferson started working in recordstores, first Dance Tracks and later Outland Records, where he is still working to this date.

In 2005 Jefferson hosted his own show on National Radio 3 FM (with co-host Eric de Man) called ‘BNN’s Weekender’ every week on saturdaynight, which ran for 18 months.

2006 saw him playing on Extrema Outdoor and the Solar Festival. Besides playing Jefferson started working for Highland Toys, importing and reselling Designer toys (he started collecting Designer toys since 2005). He decided to take a stap back from the music scene to focus more on the Designer toy market and even started working with spraycans on canvas.

But in June 2007, after about 6 months of doing other things it was time to re-appear in de Dance scene, Jefferson opened a Myspace account, took on the job of writing a weekly column on www.partyscene.nl, got his own designer toy page in DJ Broadcast Magazine and started producing (again).
