Artist: paul chambers

paul chambers is a 23 year old american living in belgium. He started out as a dj 7 years ago, not knowing much at all about electronic music. He was looking for something new and different, but growing up in a small town didn't exactly expose him to the ever-changing music scenes that big cities might offer. However, as his interest in electronic music was growing fast, he soon discovered world upon world of different musical styles and expressions. Interest turned into passion and even though his dj-work was very pleasing and he had developed his own personal style and technique, he realised that he wanted to go beyond mixing and playing other people's music. that's when he started up his music-label called souptunes and released his first record, a more experimental sound than what he plays for the dance-floor but he says there is more to life than dancing and partying.

so from playing in small clubs he moved on to bigger events where he plays in front of thousands of party people. attracting them with his special style of mixing on three desks and his laptop. living in belgium didn't stop him from playing abroad, for two months he was resident in pittsburgh usa and he also became good friends with party-organisers in malta so he played at a couple of clubs and they flew him over for a big dance-festival.

today there are two kinds of music to paul chambers. music he likes and music he doesn't like. if he likes it he'll tweak it, pump it up and mix it in a way that sometimes you don't know what's happening. he leads his audience to where they want to go with a combination of deep long mixes, hard cuts, tricks and scratches with the perfect timing.
