Major change
We've just opened up the photos section to everybody, in other words you don't have to register to view the photos anymore.

Topic notification - Now you can also select (next to the topic-specific notifications) to be informed about replies in topics you are active in. I personally really dig this feature, keeps me up to speed without checking the forum every time
You can also uncheck this option in your profile here:

And I get this error:

Does it also happen when you use an alternative browser? I tested it when looking at some of your favorite photos in your profile but I did not get such an error and I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.3. What I did notice though, was that when I clicked a thumbnail it did not show me the same picture in a larger size but it showed me an entirely different photo. That happened with several photos I clicked. Weird?

I receive them all the time for all kinds of topics i responded in, but i can not remember i ever asked for this. Anyway, i've tried to turn this off, but it doesn't matter. Next time it's immediately on again and i keep receiving them. It's pretty irritating cause it messes the overview in my mailbox and i keep deleting all the time..

Uncheck the 'notification' option in your personal forum settings if you do not wish to receive an e-mail notification whenever a reply is posted in a topic that you are active in. This has changed somewhat, I'm afraid... I encountered the same problem, and it appears that you can't adjust your preferences for each individual topic anymore. Either you receive a notification every time a reply is made for each and every topic you are active in, or you don't receive any notifications at all...
Whether this makes the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' option completely defunct or redundant is for our webbie to decide...

just uncheck in your profile:
(By selecting this option you'll get an e-mail whenever a reply is made in a topic you are active in)
et voila! no more mails..

But no... that's not solving the problem, i tried that offcourse. But i can keep uncheckin' it, it doesn't matter. I save the settings, and when i come back at the page it's on again. I just can't turn it off, that's the problem. Sorry if i described it a bit unclear!
By the way; the same problem is happening with the Alerts thing. I start to think it's a local problem (something with cookies?) but i don't have any idea what it should be then? It has started since those Alerts are introduced by the way.

Posts: 517 Events: 7 | | Posted: 16-05-2006 23:18:15 | | | Ok... the alerts thing seems to be working now somehow (damn, i don't understand anymore ;)), but the topic notification checkbox just keeps checkin' itself on. I uncheck the box, save that setting, go back to my forum settings page immediately and it's already checked again.

In that case we'll have to wait until the mighty webbie woke up!
Or right a filter for your email client. With most email clients you can "easy-lee" create one with a right-mouse-click.
2 Dirk: you don't want the newsletter?!?!?

http://www.beatfreax.com/s/42b90196b4/f/7/mode/newtopic.html
TODO's on this matter:
- Create a new "sets requests" forum (I presume?)
- Create a rate-this-set option
- ??
This minor change can really become a cool feature, since we can do much more with the information now, yeah!
