On Saturday the 15th of October, Electronation will host the party to release Alexander Robotnick´s new album: Krypta 1982.

This second edition of Rex…Electronation Live will hold another night with some great artists from our homegrounds, as well as a special guest from Italy presenting his new album. Along with Alexander Robotnick, we our proud to present a line up with Legowelt (Live), DJ TLR, and Brian Chinetti (Orgue Electronique dj set).

Robotnick aka Maurizio Dami made himself known in 1983 with a few Ital-electro –disco singles such as Problèmes d’Amour or Les Grands Voyages de l’Amour. Those tracks released during the very beginning of the electro-dance music would bring him a passing fame in Europe: the slightly trash exoticism of this middle-of-the-road popular song in French with a strong transalpine accent will make him a kind of electro Jacques Dutronc. Yet, very quickly, Robotnick lapses into theatre and audiovisual music and, in 1987 he made a complete change of direction taking over the register of world music. During years, Robotnick would cease to exist for the general public making endless collaborations on his own label Hot Elephant with African, Indian and Kurdish musicians.

Now, almost two decades a many releases with different musical influences further, Robotnick releases yet another album: Krypta 1982. Expect a sound that brings that broad mix of musical influences together, ranging from italodisco to acid, and from some more raw electronic tracks to a more ambient new wave sound. What else can we expect than this broad sound from someone who has witnessed the birth, death and rebirth of electronic music with his own eyes?

The evening will be supported by some of the finest artists from the Crème Organisation. With dj sets from TLR and Brian Chinetti, and a live performance of Legowelt, we are sure to kick in with a great evening of electronic music. The visual support for the night will be done by the brilliant vj´s from 310K.
