He’s the bad boy of the Amsterdam techno underground: Daniel Sanchez, 26 year old son of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother, who scored one of the biggest hits of the summer of 2007 with the infectious ‘Mumbling yeah’. Daniel’s ‘mumbling’ vocals give the track that special edge.

Anthony Rother brings to us his new and different album Popkiller.
Anthony Rother, one of the biggest names when it comes to producing electronic music. This time he brings to us his new album Popkiller released on his second and newer label Datapunk.
A lot of people might have heared earlier stuff from Anthony Rother, for example his album 'Live is Life is Love'. This new album is totally different than we are used to hear from him. With this album he once again proves that he is capable of having a lot of different styles when it comes to producing electronic music, wich is really great.
The album contains new tracks like 'Father' and 'Punks', besides that it also contains tracks like 'Back Home' and 'Bodytalk' wich have been released before. In pretty much every track you hear beautifull synths that could only have come from Anthony Rother himself.
Popkiller consists of tracks that are different from one another, so its not like you hear the same sounds and samples in every track.
On one hand you have tracks with beautifull synths and on the other hand you have tracks with raw synths and a more punkier sound to them.
The vocoders on this album are much different than the ones on tracks from his other album Life is Live is Love.
Since april Anthony Rother started his new Popkiller tour, wich is a liveset containing new tracks but also older track (as i have heared from other people). All I can say is that I am really looking forward to seeing Anthony Rother perform in the future, because this album is definetly a great piece of work, and therefore i really recommend it to all electro lovers and definetly to all the Anthony Rother freaks out there.
