Gaspard Augé (27) en Xavier de Rosnay (24) vormen de Franse band Justice. Sinds hun naamloze debuutalbum in 2007 worden ze gekatapulteerd tot rocksterren en zijn ze in rap tempo de wereld aan het veroveren met hun overweldigende sound en kenmerkende optredens met een enorm verlicht kruis.
After his summer smash hit "Napolitanzer" together with Fokko Versloot it was time for Beatfreax to ask him to do a mix for our podcast. And here it is! An awesome mix with tracks by e.g. Nils Number, Dimitri Andreas, Lopazz and of course the man himself.
Weer een beetje bijgekomen van alle hossel rondom de feestdagen? Mooi, maak je borst(en) dan maar nat! Voidd komt namelijk op zaterdag 10 januari al met een voornemen waar je nieuwe agenda niet snel genoeg kennis mee kan maken.
Op vrijdag 9 januari 2009 geeft Franse Techno godfather Laurent Garnier één van de laatste dj-sets uit zijn carrière weg. Het feestje gaat door in de befaamde Antwerpse club Café d'Anvers, die dit jaar trouwens al 20 jaar bestaat.
For years we promised the Eclips organisation that we would visit there party. But somehow, up to now that is, we never did.
Even though we already knew The Advent wasn’t coming this evening, we made the one and a half hour drive to Kleve Germany.
We entered the parking lot and this scared the shit out of us!
It was already packed and as we entered the area we noticed a cinema, some kind of café, a ski-hut bar and the NWC discotheque. Oh dear!?
Inside NWC we got a pass, with which you can pay the wardrobe, order drinks and get a meal. When leaving you pay everything. And, luckily, the crowd was rather OK, some real gabbers but mostly very nice and well dressed people. And a lot of Dutchies!
Well, we went to the first area, were Jan Liefhebber was playing. The dance floor was not filled yet, but with the tunes of Jan the crowd started to dance. While walking around we got into the party mood and started to wiggle as well.
The sound system was brilliant. On the dance floor you had this boomin’-bass-sound in your stomach (you know!) but when you were just a few meters away (the bar area’s) the volume was less. Here it was possible to talk and hang around.
When Lars Klein started, the dance floor was already full and people we’re dancing and we even heard some yelling and screaming.
During the set of Lars we were treated on a spectacular laser show. And damn!! We love lasers!! The Eclips-crew brought there own laser and together with the laser of NWC the show was awesome.
In area 2 the local (Dutch) dj’s were playing from techno to more housy tunes, and it was a nice area to have a drink and chat with friends. And to calm down from the force of Lars Klein. A big mirror behind the bar, nice red-coloured lights and deco’s gave this area a cosy atmosphere.
Back to the main hall and now Echoplex was doing his performance. A laptop, an energetic artist and a lot of “serious techno” was born. It was almost impossible not to dance!
Around four o’clock we decided to leave. We had great fun, heard some very pumping techno, and our feet we’re killing us!
