Monokreck describes his style as "open minded house, from glitchy microhouse to deep techno, and all in between". Melting many styles of electronic music together to create a warm atmosphere on the dancefloor.
Something went wrong after I wrote my whole report about my stay in Berlin last weekend.
So here it posted once again.
Fridaynight we first went to Appartment 33, in which the German Traffic department was housed some years ago.
The location is a nice one, a lot of big and small rooms and a long hall towards the wc's. You really get the "underground"feeling inside. It's in the Vossstrasse near the Leipzigerstrasse (Tresor). (U-bhf Potsdamer Platz for those wo are interested)
We arrived in the Vosstrasse at around 00.00, and some local german dj's were playing a mixture of house, electro and minimal, later that night some other bigger dj's from Berlin were planned, but at 01.00 the police arrived with a police-force of 30 cops.
First everybody thought it was a "drogen-razzia" (drugscontrol), nobody was allowed to go in or out the building. After half an hour, everybody had to leave the building: the organizers didn't have the right licenses for the party.
So we took a taxi back to our appartment, had some beers and decided to go to Panoramabar for the Mental Groove label night.
Although I didn't know the dj's who played I really enjoyed it, heared some nice tracks, had a lot of drinks so had a great time. At around 8.00 we left and went back to our appartment to chill.
Saturdaynight, we first went to Sternradio at the Alexanderplatz for the "Thuringer-originale" night, we entered the club at about 2.00 and it was allready really crowded. Unfortunatly the music was a little bit too cheesy so we decided to go to Berghain/Panorambar because we wanted to see/hear Andre Galuzzi and the liveact of Sleeparchive.
When we arrived at Am Wriezener Bhf we directly went upstairs to the Panoramabar in which Andre Koletzki (Cocoon) was playing. He played a lot of good records but his mixingskills were not that good so went down to Berghain to see Sleeparchive.
I was very curious about Sleeparchive, because I heared rather good and bad stories about his appearance @ Vollt. He really played some nice tracks, but I thought it was a little bit to slow for the time he was playing (around 5.00).
At 6.30 (I don't know exactly) Andre Galluzzi started his set, the best I heared during the weekend. A various one with some harder and some deeper parts. The crowd really enjoyed it and Galluzzi himself was having a great time. At 10.00 when the Panoramabar was still filled with a lot of crazy partyfreaks we had to leave because we had to leave our appartment at 12.00.
In the afternoon we chilled in the park near the trainstation Zoologischer Garten and at 16.45 we took the train back to Holland. And now I feel a little bit "brak".

It's a small world after all.....
A friend of my really tried to convince me to come to that party. I even registered for the party but didn't go and went to bed early. Next morning I wrote her Message: Police Came!
Good to hear you had a good time in Berlin! The combination of Galluzzi and Berghain is SUPERB!!
