Rolling Bass lines, minimal terror! to bad it wasnt 5.1 but hey.. who cares? The crowd loved it, paradiso exploded plenty of times, and in the end, the applause he deserves! I had a great night!

Posts: 222 Events: 6 | | Posted: 11-11-2005 14:21:12 | | | Had a wicked night! arrived early, but the que was too long. went for a beer, came back, que still too long.
Magda was playing when we came in, sounded nice, but had a look upstairs where they were playing some nice minimal tunes. Heard rob Acid and some other stuff. Then it was time for mister Richie "what do you mean my hair looks gay" Hawtin. Amazing!! Using Live, FS and good old vinyl he gave away a truly classic set, wouldn't call it minimal, more like redelijk knallen.
all in all, a good night, apart from that F&%@ing door policy at paradiso. One and half hours of waiting!

Hawtin was nice too, in my opinion the best set he played in Holland this year.

Posts: 3321 Events: 1736 | | Posted: 11-11-2005 14:44:27 | | | Yeah it was wicked!!! Really the Hawtin I hoped for, pumping, funky, rolling, super!! Magda was nice, didn't hear that much of her set though.
Few points though... The music was awesome, but I'd like to DANCE to good music! Plz plz plz next time sell about 300 tickets less, get rid of the stage (or let people dance on it) and GET NEW BOUNCERS. These guys are so RUDE and unfriendly... geez.
But all in all a terrific party, I think the photos speak for themselves!

Small correction: on the pics you see Richie is using Serato Scratch Live (SSL) instead of FS. It looks like he moved away from FS a few moths ago.
Nice pics btw!

"They" say that Serato's Scratch Live is much more stable and easier to install.

The fact that Richie as one of the architects of FS changes to SSL says enough... Ableton Live and SSL + Xone CTRL, great combination
But now this is getting realy OT

Yeah I know... it's just that FS is better known, and the abbreviation of serato scratch looks a bit like something from the 1940's...
Nice pictures indeed!!
