Depeche Mode already was one of my favourite bands of all time, but after this concert I respect them even more. They played a few tracks from their latest album of course, but (as expected) the crowd really took off on songs like "Personal Jesus", "Silence" and "I just can't get enough".
I must say though the crowd was a bit mellow every now and then, what might have to do with a whole new generation dicovering DM, but not really knowing the lyrics to their older songs.
Great night though, Anton Corbijn for president!

Personnal I some more tracks of Ultra because I think I heard just 1 or 2 tracks of this album. For me this was the album where I really started to discover DM.
The mellow mood wondered me a bit also, althoug at the end it wasn't that mellow anymore. Furthermore a lot of Germans, even specially from Munich for this concert (although in Germany they do 6 concerts).

Jeandix and I stood in front and Gahan was sometimes only 2 meters away. amazing visuals, great grown-up beats, and Gahan still has his sexy moves. Yeah!
It took a while for the audience to fully adapt to the magic. Gahan seemed to 'test' it and yell 'Reach out and touch me' 20 times, waiting for response. I was afraid Holland didnt 'pass' the test and we have to wait another 13 (or was it 14) years, but 'we' passed the test with Never let me down again.. fuckin Rose Bowl flashbacks, the whole Ahoy was waving and Gahan 'zag dat het goed was'. he said: till next time.. :-)
I danced my ass off. hopefully the pictures are good enough, we'll post them 2night...

If I'm not mistaking this was the set they played:
> Intro
> A Pain That I'm Used To
> John The Revelator
> A Question Of Time
> Policy Of Truth
> Precious
> Walking In My Shoes
> Suffer Well
> Macro
> Home
> I Want It All
> The Sinner In Me
> I Feel You
> Behind The Wheel
> World In My Eyes
> Personal Jesus
> Enjoy The Silence
encore
> Shake The Disease
> Just Can't Get Enough
> Everything Counts
encore #2
> Never Let Me Down Again
> Goodnight Lovers

A Very cool 2 hours live show, with great visuals and a nice set-up. Dave Gahan is a all time hero !!The only thing i didn't liked that much was the karaoke part during ''enjoy the silence''. but who cares they can make it! They closing Rock Werchter, looking forward to see them again on the festival stage!

The music is magic and DM really doesn't deserve a mellow crowd, it really bothers me that people lack the energy to go with the depeche mode-flow.. just stand and watch... how's that possible! Anyhow.. I'm really happy i was there in front of dave at the stage We danced our asses off!
