Loveland presenteerde tijdens het Amsterdam Dance Event de officiële DVD van Loveland Festival 2008. Ruim 40 professionals hebben zich tijdens het festival ingezet om de mooiste momenten vast te leggen.
Het frisse geluid dat dubstep heet, wint de afgelopen jaren wereldwijd steeds meer terrein. Het genre komt rechstreeks uit de Londonse underground met wortels in grime, 2-step, breakbeat garage en drum & bass.
Alle hens aan dek! Rauw presenteert met trots in samenwerking met Blockbeatz en Mojo Concerts misschien wel het feest van het jaar. Het weekend voor kerst, vrijdag 19 december vindt in de Maassilo in Rotterdam 'Radio Soulwaxmas' plaats.
Rotterdam is the place where I grew up, it showed me many different electronic music styles. Techno especially is very big in Rotterdam and I think there is a really typical Rotterdam sound. This was the music style that struck me most and I got hooked to. The minimalistic night’s at the Future in Nighttown opend my eyes and confronted me by the fact that not every record has to have a complete story, the dj’s showed me a complete story with all these records in a certain order. That’s when I caught the feeling! I started buying records and was practicing in my bedroom all the time… I tried many different styles, from detroit minimal to pure house music to garage.
When I moved to Amsterdam things started to work out with playing for crowds. After some little things for friends I got a chance to play at small venues like the Vodka bar and the Zebra Lounge. But after a while I realized I was not playing what I really wanted to play, it had developed into an easy listening house kind of thing. That was when I decided it was time to develop my own style and that would only be possible if I would play exactly what I wanted to play! After visiting Electronation at Awakenings 2003 I knew it! Synthesiser music, from breakbeat to pure electro!
