Op vrijdag 26 december zal VOLTT dit jaar nog eenmaal goed uitpakken voor een knallende afsluiting van 2008. Op 2e kerstdag zal de Paradiso namelijk in het teken staan van VOLTT met een hoop vooruitstrevend talent en gerenommeerde artiesten.
In navolging van het overdonderende geweld op het tot nok toe gevulde CLiCK feest tijdens het Amsterdam Dance Event krap twee maanden geleden, maakt de organisatie zich op voor een nog meeslepender en vooral intiemer spektakel.
De jaarwisseling neemt altijd een beetje spanning met zich mee, meestal met de grote groep dierbaren die je hebt is het altijd een beetje onderling onderhandelen. Wel uit, niet uit, wel thuis, niet thuis, wel afteren, niet afteren, wel werken, niet werken...
Having founded Voidd in the mid nineties, Mr. Manoah started out as a producer originally, producing tracks like La Danza and It rained five days. Buying his first decks at the age of 18, he sold them hardly three years later (together with two third of his record collection...), to obtain money for travelling the world.
Yes: he’s been heavily forced to never do such a thing again.
Fond of the bleeps-cracks-croaks from minimal and tech, he couldn’t do it without the pumping drive and hypnotizing drumloops found in techno and progressive. Combining this two gives protech, a style not many DJ’s dare to play nowadays. Mr. Manoah playing on big stages like on the beach would give more of the pro side, small scale intimate inside parties give him the opportunity to show his tech side.
Living in Hollands’ capital Amsterdam, and at the same time having his remote studio in the very rural south of Holland, Mr. Manoah has the opportunity to use silence and peace as his biggest inspiration, bringing back the results to the Amsterdam nightlife.
