Monokreck describes his style as "open minded house, from glitchy microhouse to deep techno, and all in between". Melting many styles of electronic music together to create a warm atmosphere on the dancefloor.
Kerst is natuurlijk niks zonder een goed diner en een kerstboom! Kerst is niks zonder sneeuw(!), kerst is niks zonder sinterklaas. Maar wat natuurlijk ook niet kan missen om de kerstdagen goed af te sluiten is een dijk :) van een feest.
Soms ben je ergens aan het wandelen en begint het ineens keihard te regenen. Of je wordt achterna gezeten door een groep hondsdolle wezels. Of je loopt heel hard tegen een boom. In deze gevallen is het duidelijk tijd om naar huis te gaan.
Op vrijdag 26 december zal VOLTT dit jaar nog eenmaal goed uitpakken voor een knallende afsluiting van 2008. Op 2e kerstdag zal de Paradiso namelijk in het teken staan van VOLTT met een hoop vooruitstrevend talent en gerenommeerde artiesten.
Maxim Lany - a true Ghent citizen - quickly discovered that "Music was the answer". At the age of 14 he started to put the diamond to the vinyl, combining his favourite hip hop tracks with some of his parents' old pop records. During the next period his musical taste evolved to House and at the age of 16 he got the chance to display his talents for a variaty of audiences. Obsessed by music Maxim spent all his money on fresh vinyl, leading up to the inevitable mix: making money while flipping some tracks. Becoming a professional DJ at the age of 20 ignited his musical obsession even more. Like any good professional, Maxim immediately took things to the next level, by upgrading the "home parties" and creating "The Sound" with one of his best friends. This blow-out success made them decide to organise this event more frequently and after more than 2 years the project still hasn't lost any of its magic. Continuing to develop, Maxim also became a resident DJ at Café Theatrre, a famous lounge bar in the mediaeval centre of Ghent. After one year he moved on and contributed to CT Vol. I., an album on which he compiled and mixed the songs. He also became a resident at the incredible Pop Life parties, which influenced his musical knowledge a great deal. Stepping up even more, he was offered a spot behind the decks at Decadance, where he became a resident on Fridays and on special occasions. He became a guest DJ at Rendez-Fou and then he started a new monthly concept at Culture Club called "Glamour Lounge". Currently aged 25, Maxim is now resident at Culture Club & Decadance,still organises his own parties such as 'F*ck Lany' & 'You Lucky Bitch', plays as a guest dj all over Belgium and is working as a producer together with his partner Carlitto (aka Ramon Tapia). Their first releases 'Elektrified' (2006) and 'Thank God' (2007) already featured on several compilations. Their latest ep. ‘Blackhawk/Expression’ will feature on Sharam Jey’s ‘KingKong Rec.’ label in June 2007. Also 2006 major gigs: Sensation White (Antwerp), 10 Days Off, Tomorrowland, Laundry Day,.. just to name a few.
