Monokreck describes his style as "open minded house, from glitchy microhouse to deep techno, and all in between". Melting many styles of electronic music together to create a warm atmosphere on the dancefloor.
Kerst is natuurlijk niks zonder een goed diner en een kerstboom! Kerst is niks zonder sneeuw(!), kerst is niks zonder sinterklaas. Maar wat natuurlijk ook niet kan missen om de kerstdagen goed af te sluiten is een dijk :) van een feest.
Soms ben je ergens aan het wandelen en begint het ineens keihard te regenen. Of je wordt achterna gezeten door een groep hondsdolle wezels. Of je loopt heel hard tegen een boom. In deze gevallen is het duidelijk tijd om naar huis te gaan.
Marcel Dettmann , born on the 26th of October 1977 in Pössneck (Thüringen). He spent his childhood in Fürstenwalde/Spree, Germany.
Until 1993 His experiences and impressions he was allowed to gain in his youth formed him into an entertainer that was meant to go his own way. Depeche Mode, Nitzer ebb, front 242 et cetera are his musical influences of his first steps in becoming a musician. It started in 1992, when the Techno-culture of well known clubs such as Tresor and E-Werk Berlin formed his way. His first own mixed tapes have been produced successfully on two classic turn tables. At that point he additionally followed up DJ sets at private parties that easily showed his own appreciation of music.
His first professional gigs as a DJ in the greater Berlin area and mostly Eastern Germany.
Marcel starts seeing Berlin as his new home. The OstGut in Berlin becomes his new home base. Up until it was shut down, in 2003, he works there as a resident DJ, side by side with international stars.
Today, Marcel has more offers than ever. While traveling between Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Prague, Rostock and Vienna he remains at his home base Berlin. Working for Possible Music Distribution, he has a job in sales and logistics.
His second home is now the record store “Freizeitglauben” in Berlin. The large collection of splendid musical sources present a great inspiration for future projects.
For this year, a launch of his first own production has come very close. Right now Marcel is busy with creating DJ sets in local clubs in Berlin. He can be seen and heard at Casino, Maria am Ufer, Pfefferbank, Polar TV, Sternradio, Tresor/Globus and Watergate.
