Loveland presenteerde tijdens het Amsterdam Dance Event de officiële DVD van Loveland Festival 2008. Ruim 40 professionals hebben zich tijdens het festival ingezet om de mooiste momenten vast te leggen.
Aanstaande zaterdag is alweer de derde editie in 2008 van eartharea in de Sugar Factory. Elke editie nodigt resident dj Per een grote naam uit het Nederlandse dj-circuit uit om een bijzondere set neer te komen zetten. Ditmaal is de eer aan Lucien ‘the dreadman’ Foort.
Born, and raised in Paris, DJ Mehdi has been producing major french Hip-hop artists since 1995 while making great noise (and platinum albums) with his bands Ideal J and 113, remixing various electronic acts and composing soundtracks for many french and international films. His resumé mentions collabs with the largest scope, from MC SOLAAR to DAFT PUNK, including KOURTRAJME movie-buffs, french sweet-talkers like IAM's AKHENATON or BOOBA, club gangstas CASSIUS, JOAKIM, or SUPER DISCOUNT, globe-trotters NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB, JUST JACK or ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI plus legends like FUTURA2000, RYUICHI SAKAMOTO, and RYAN McGINNESS.
Signed to ED BANGER RECORDS, DJ Mehdi dropped album LUCKY BOY in October 2006. His first single 'I AM SOMEBODY' featured vocals from CHROMEO and remixes by KENNY DOPE from the MASTERS AT WORK. New EP 'LUCKY GIRL' rocks new song featuring graffiti mistress FAFI, remixes by SWITCH, OUTLINES and SURKIN, plus a spanking edit of album track 'SIGNATUNE' by the master THOMAS BANGALTER. The album is described as « 21st century Breakdancing music », exploring the widest meanings of Hip-Hop music.
Resident DJ at now defunct Paris' legendary PULP club, he also tours all around in 2007. His sets are often hailed as "Everything black party music", "Sex, Drums and Beats&Blues", or "Kraftwerk were African".
