SVEN VÄTH (GE)
Sven Väth has produced a large body of work since his career began in 1982. The German DJ/musician is one of the driving forces behind modern electronic music and founder of legendary trance music labels such as Harthouse, Eye Q & Cocoon Recordings. As owner of the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, his name is inseparable from the German club scene. As a DJ, his legendary marathon sets have received acclaim around the world.
GUY GERBER (live) (Israel) (Supplement Facts, Cocoon)
Guy Gerber has been stirring up electronic audiences with his anthem releases and live shows for quite some time. After countless productions for major labels, which earned him many awards and praises, Guy was ready for a major hit. His universally embraced single ‘Stoppage Time’ became the stand out anthem of the year at the likes of Cocoon. Guy also started Supplement Facts, considered to be one of the fast growing choice labels around. Guy stands for unique melodies and production skills, and even greater live shows.
CHRIS TIETJEN (GE)
Inspired by Sven Väth, it didn't take long until he bought his first set of decks. His growing passion for music of all kinds took him to Ibiza where he joined one of Sven's private after hours and had – by chance – the opportunity to play some records and left a lasting impression. From then onwards, the only way was up. Chris Tietjen's style alternates between groovy tech house and hypnotic minimal sounds but one can also find driving techno tunes in his record case. However, his sound is not easy to describe: his sets are always full of surprises.
Sven Väth founded Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in electronic music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The musical style of the releases is mainly Techno. The flagship of Cocoon Recordings' releases is the Cocoon Compilation, which features exclusive tracks by Cocoon Artists as well as other new talents.
AGORIA (FR)
The luminous prodigy of the French electronic scene is capable of teletransporting thousands of clubbers in a state of ultimate joy that gives them feet of wind.
This same DJ composed and produced the two albums that are necessary and indispensable for any proper immersion in the complex heart of electronic music. ‘Blossom’ in 2003 and ‘Green Armchair’ in 2006. Now, there’s the new ‘Go Fast’.
Its mission: give the French thriller ‘Go Fast’ by Olivier Van Hoofstadt’s a brand new energy and a top speed almost capable of breaking the wall of sound.
DIMITRI ANDREAS (BE)
Dimitri has been absorbing and sweating music from a very early age. His first releases date from his puberty and got well tasted by the big techno names like Carl Cox & Luke Slater. More followed and Dimitri continued working and producing with various artists who all appreciate his typical groove as ideal ingredients to make the floor go wild. He recently signed to Systematic Recordings (Marc Romboy).
‘Run and Hide’, Dimitri’s first release on Systematic hit the shops in Sept 2008.
With new material under his belt, Dimitri Andreas will be heading out on the road again. With a pit stop at Groove City.

BENNY BENASSI (IT)
Italian Grammy Award winning Benny Benassi works as a DJ & producer and runs his own label Pump-Kin. He’s known all over Europe with his mega hitsingle ‘Satisfaction’. In August 2007, Benassi released a remix of Public Enemy's 'Bring the Noise' which won a Grammy for best Remix (Dance) in 2008. Benassi’s latest single ‘I Am Not Drunk’is taken from the new album ‘Rock 'n' Rave’, which features international guests such as Iggy Pop, Public Enemy and Christian Burns . His DJ style is easy to describe: kinda electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth.
JOACHIM GARRAUD (FR)
French DJ Joachim Garraud is also remixer and producer of stars such as David Guetta, Paul Johnson, Deep Dish, ... Known for his many collaborations with other DJs and musicians (like David Guetta & Jean-Michel Jarre), he also animates a weekly radio show on French Radio FG. Joachim Garraud stands for energetic sets, using images to enforce his pumping sounds.
DJ PIERRE (US) (Afro Acid / DJP)
Back in the days when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom inventing a sound which would impact on the music scene forever. In 1986, 'acid house' was in its infancy when DJ Pierre picked up a 303 and the infamous “Acid Tracks” was born. Not many artists in the history of dance music can list Carl Cox, Junior Vasquez, … as fans. Not many can claim responsibility for helping kick start the career of f.e. Felix Da Housecat. Not many can lay claim to giving birth to a genre and pioneering a sound that has the whole world dancing and imitating for over fifteen years.
ZOO BRAZIL (SE) (Get Physical, Systematic)
John Andersson is the creative force behind Zoo Brazil. He has steadily carved out a reputation as one of dance music's most innovative and respected producers. He worked with and remixed some of the world's biggest artists including Fatboy Slim, The Human League & Dannii Minogue. As well as a whole host of the most respected and credible 'underground' dance acts like James Holden, Ian Pooley and many more.
TERRY TONER (NL)
As one of the key players behind Amsterdam based party organisation ElectroNation Terry Toner has gradually built his name as a household force in the European electronic music scene. 2008 has definitely been Terry’s year up to date. With 2 critically acclaimed releases which have been supported by international powerhouses like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Tiefschwarz, Dubfire, Slam, Fedde Le Grand, Gregor Tresher, John Digweed, Sasha, Danny Howells, Tom Novy, Mason and many others he finally seems to fulfill his prodigal expectations.
Drum ‘n’ Bass
MALDINI & VEGAS BAD COMPANY (UK)
Responsible for some of the biggest anthems in the drum’n’bass industry, Bad Company is most known for their 12" single: The Nine / The Bridge. They went on to produce several LP’s and singles which were acclaimed with similar success. Today, Jason Maldini and Michael Wojicky (Vegas), hit the road, now known as "Bad Company UK". I think all would agree that Bad Company are among the few who continue to push the limits and boundaries and have shaped the drum’n’bass sound into what it is today...
MATRIX + FUTUREBOUND (UK)
Hopping back and forth between mellow and funky, and sometimes a building combination of the two, Matrix & Futurebound’s music successfully takes risks that most other producers wouldn’t dare. Making some brave, dynamic and unexpected moves and making the most unexpected of samples work, with confidence. The sound: drum’n’bass that combines rock with ambience and a trademark snare throughout.
BROOKES BROTHERS (UK)
The ‘Brookes Brothers’ - Phil and Dan to their mates - have emerged as one of the major breakthrough drum’n’bass artists of recent years. With their most recent releases ‘F Zero’ and ‘Dawn Treader’ riding high in the D&B charts, ‘Tear You Down’ receiving huge support from the likes of Andy C and High Contrast and their massively anticipated album – including collaborations with Subfocus, Baron, Culture Shock and Danny Byrd - we can only expect big things from this highly talented duo in the future.
