Maarten, better known under his guise Macroscope, first saw the light of day in 1984. He was born and raised near Utrecht. Growing up in musical surroundings he gets acquainted with vinyl very early on in his life. Though he wasn’ t allowed to touch his father’s precious Beatles records, when dad was out of sight for just a bit, Maarten was already practicing his scratching skills, right then and there is where his addiction started. Macroscope is influenced by Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Nuno Dos Santos, Rhadoo and more. Nowadays he is a upcoming DJ in Utrecht and promote his own event called ‘Snotapen’ at club Lust every last friday of the month.
