News: the first studio soulrock release

the first Studio Soulrock release The first Studio Soulrock release of the Feeders E.P. by Bootleg Bitches is almost sold out! But the next delivery will soon follow. The record is available at the website of Rush Hour. This deep and pumping sound you just can’t miss.

STUDIO SOULROCK
Amsterdam, you’ve created a monster!!! A beast by the name of Studio Soulrock has been luring from the deep vaults of our innercity underground for quite some time now, desperately yearning to be unleashed. Its masters have played a very pro-active role in bringing our local scene to boiling-point. Steffi has been running her label Klakson successfully for over five years now and has recently been appointed Berlin’s Panoramabar-resident. Carlos Valdes is currently hosting one of Holland’s most successful club nights, drawing crowds every single Thursday for two years, staging a group of local heroes gathered under his Soulrock banner. Now the time has come to export what they’ve built up and unchain the beast With the first release called Feeders EP, Studio Soulrock is on the loose and nothing in its way can stop it from devouring every little bit of your PA.

BOOTLEG BITCHES
The Bootleg Bitches belong to an extraordinary and almost extinct breed of studio-freaks with absolutely no sense of conventions in dance music. Happily tweaking buttons for many years now, they’ve created a sound that is unmistakably theirs.
Or, to put it in their own words: “The idea for Bootleg Bitches started back in June ’77(actually 9 months earlier). A collaboration between J. Loverman (HouseRules) and Prutt (BroekieDownProductions). Inspired by the French chansons they decided to wait for electronica. When electronica started, they decided to wait until the sounds where better and then waited till it became cheaper…So now here they are!! A unique blend of everything that is holy, or something…. We believe in individuality, so make up your own damn mind…
Big Sloppy kiss,
The Bitches, Daphne & Barbara (the one with the big tits)

TRACKLISTENING:

A1 DO ME BACK
More on the Chicago-esque side of things, this stomper will move any dancefloor to a higher level, using funked up vocals and filthy drum sounds to make even the fattest ass move sideways.
A2 BLOWN
A twisted form of melancholy takes hold of you as you try to grasp the deepness of this mind-boggling musical piece, which is probably best described as a musical journey through someone’s colon, ending inevitably in - well… you get the picture.
B1: DREAM BITCHES
After you hear the cyber elephant being strangled, this magnificently spaced out track, laced with the finest of acidic bass lines, takes off to the outer limits. If Detroit had canals it would sound a little something like this.
B2: SEQUENCESCOOL
This fine piece of Frühstück-techno is best played in a steamy club on some godforsaken morning. Just when you realize all your friends have left the building, that last substance WAS a hallucinogenic, and the girl in the toilet probably DID have a penis after all – this track comes on and fucks your mind into a downright frenzy.
