Baz about his mix:

"I always had an admiration for the old house age. My idea is that music is timeless and a good record always stays a good record. This is why I always play the old and the new together. Sometimes this is old (italo) disco with new (e.g. Lindstrom) disco or old house with new acid. It's surprising how many good records have been made that sound brand new and actually already exist for years.

This mix in particular is a live recording of one of the Acidos nights. I played at 5.30 in the morning in a bar in Rotterdam for a crowd of at least 100 party people who came in for an after-party. They came from a disco party next door. This is why I started with some disco like records (although it was an acid party) and slowly dragged everybody into the acid sounds. The original mix ends with Joey Beltram and dj Pierre. Maybe that will be available for download form my website sometime. The fun thing is that everybody who started dancing on disco ended up going wild on the acid sounds. That makes a good night for me: pleasing the crowd with your own choice of records by slowly evolving from one style to another."
