Unless you are living under a stone, Full Spectrum's second birthday will definitely not go by unnoticed, as the organization will throw not one but two birthday parties to mark the occasion. The organization's personal vision on electronic music has lead to a string of successful concepts and club nights in the past two years featuring some of the most prolific DJ's and artists in electronic dance music.
The celebration kicks off on Friday 22 September at the Ekko Venue in Utrecht, with the Dutch debut of German rising star Oliver Koletzki. He was voted ' best newcomer' in Germany last year, and his Mückenschwarm tune, released on Sven Vaeth's Cocoon imprint, has been one of this summer's electronic essentials.
Crowd favourite Benny Rodrigues will also be in attendance, bringing his swashbuckling sound that holds the middle between house and techno to the decks. The line-up is completed by Full Spectrum's own Nuno Dos Santos, who recently signed to the Kompost label, and he has been a familiar face on a total of fifteen summer festivals.
On Saturday 23 September, Full Spectrum teams up with Planet Rose for birthday number two in Doornroosje, Nijmegen. Former guitarist and Irishman Donnacha Costello first was hooked with electronic music thanks to Richie Hawtin, and produced and released his debut album Growing Up In Public in less than a year. With a release on Michael Mayer's acclaimed Kompakt imprint under his belt, Donnacha is all set to take his signature crossover sound, which meanders between minimal tech and new age, to the Netherlands for his debut. The night will also see the second performance of Oliver Koletzki who is joined by local heroes Nuno Dos Santos and Sander Baan for the occasion.
