This November 4th the progressive Amsterdam based organization Earth celebrates its 7th anniversary with the likes of Junkie XL, front man Per, ONNO, Sandrien, Francesco Pico, Benoit and many more.Paradiso will be the stage for this big celebration, covering 3 rooms and holding some of the best electronic music Holland has to offer.
Junkie XL
One of the busiest men in the music biz, and a celebrated musician and solo artist in his own right--now with a brand new album TODAY marking his fourth full-length to carry the JUNKIE XL name--Tom Holkenborg is also one of the most popular young composers in Hollywood. He contributed score to films like The Animatrix, Team America and Kingdom of Heaven, as well as plenty of video games (Destroy All Humans, Xbox's Forza Motorsport) and commercials. Not to mention the fact that he's a producer and revered remixer who masterminded one of the biggest remixes in history: the 2002 resurrection of Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation," a No. 1 smash in 24 countries.
DJ Per
DJ PER played his first records on a party called Het Bal ('84) in the Melkweg in Amsterdam, a dance night filled with performances, live-music, fashion-shows and other acts. This was the pre-house period with hip-hop, electro, pop, wave and more, everything was played then as long as it had a good groove.
From november 1999 Per works hard on his new concept called EARTH , which is a multimedia concept in the Dutch club scene, together with Sander Kleinenberg en Stef Vrolijk. EARTH takes place every second Friday of the month in the Melkweg in Amsterdam, but also on a regular basis in Nighttown in Rotterdam, Winkel van Sinkel in Utrecht and 013 in Tilburg. In the year 2000 also on Heineken Horizons (RAI Amsterdam) and on the open-air festival New Frontier (Amsterdamse Bos).
