The cosy dj café TWSTd (say ‘Twisted’) has proven itself multiple times being a breeding ground for Dutch dj and producer talents. Successful artists in today’s leading clubs started of in bar TWSTd. They came in via the backdoor, spread their wings and got successful concepts to be continued in bigger clubs.
It may be clear to you that Billy Nasty, who runs three labels and a bookings agency, will enter the front door. Worldwide and for more than 15 years this renowned artist gets the biggest crowds going bezerk. By colleaugues Mr Nasty is known for his high standard of mixing and choice of records. He became nominated for England’s best dj and best BBC Radio One Essential Mix by the prestigious Muzik Magazine lists. Credible crowds like the one in TWSTd may witness a dj´s dj who is not afraid for a little experiment.
Billy Nasty is not the only grown-up dj that pays a visit to the little café in the grooving heart of Amsterdam. Dylan Hermelijn also known as 2000 and One is invited for Saw on Saturday the 23rd. This new monthly night is hosted by the UK dj that keeps residency in Holland (Kanzleramt). Both gentleman are getting lots of attention for their minimal minimal hit ‘Pecan’ wich resulted from their work assemble called `Microfunk´.
It´s going well for 2000 and One but he didn’t get it for free. Dylan Hermelijn is Techno producer who knows them from the letter a to the letter z. He runs two of his own labels. Intacto and 100% Pure wich signed Shinedoe for earlier material. Dylan´s track ‘Tropical Melons’ got selected recently for the infamous Cocoonbox. This compilation comes from the hand of no one less than Germen Techno icon Sven Väth himself. Can´t wait to see 2000 and One in action during the October edition of Awakenings?
