After the successful first edition back in march, we are now preparing for the next strike of one of the cosiest and longest running evenings within the Amsterdam techno movement.

On the 23rd of june 2006 Adhd Sessions treats you with a brand new and diverse edition! This is what we have in store for you:

Carlos Rios - Live
Surely this name doesn’t need any introduction to anyone who’s into good, quality techno. Initially started as one half of the famous duo with Vincent de Wit with who Carlos gained his popularity within the Dutch club scene a few years ago, Carlos Rios is one of Europe’s most acclaimed techno producers. More recently he proved to move the crowds on several occasions with his deep and atmospheric live sets, often on huge mega events. However, on june 23rd you will be able to see Carlos Rios live at our party as well. Not less than 90 minutes (!) during live set from one of the best and most respected producers in Europe, now at Adhd Sessions!

Dave Miller & Damian Keane (B2B)
More well respected techno names on june 23rd at Adhd Sessions! There weren’t many people who didn’t notice their great set which closed the recent Awakenings party in Rotterdam. At Adhd Sessions they will repeat this exclusively for us! Dave Miller & Damian Keane enjoy a lot of respect within the Dutch techno movement for a while now, partly because of their DJ skills, but also because of their magnificent records as Miller & Keane or Sculpturism on the Audiosculpture label. They will close Adhd Sessions in great style with their back 2 back set full of deep techno driven sounds. So cancel all your appointments for the following day, it would be a shame to leave early.

Dia.chro.na (DJ)
Just a few weeks before he’ ll play at this year’s edition of Berlin Love Parade on the truck of the prestigious Substanz Art booking agency (which has won the polls for most popular truck on the Love Parade website recently), Dia.chro.na will find absolutely no problems with blasting his mechanic sound out of the PA at our party. Despite being a new kid on the block within the Dutch techno scene, he recently has been playing at some nice parties and venues around the country (Chaos Theory, Poema). With many nice gigs and a few releases still to come later this year, Dia.chro.na will present a unique DJ set at Adhd Sessions which will get the audience in shape for the headliners of the evening. Dia.chro.na’s sound is uplifting, but also mechanic and a bit abstract, and has received very enthusiastic responses worldwide already. Recovery Sounds
The resident DJ of Adhd Sessions, Recovery Sounds can really mix all styles of techno. Whether it’s minimal or Detroit, he knows how to make a well sounding, subtle mix out of all sorts of records. In the meantime he also produces his own music for a while now and has been honoured in the Dutch DJ Broadcast (the djtrx competition) magazine recently for one of his studio tracks. Tonight, Recovery Sounds will present some of his own tracks as well in a cooperation with his studio partner Marco Antonio. Be prepared for some techno-house with a strong Detroit touch.

Robert Powlson
Fans of minimal sounds will really enjoy this guy. This young and talented DJ has recently proved on more than one occasion to be able to stand out of the grey mob of DJ’s (for example: at Planet Rose, Doornroosje, Nijmegen). So come early, because Robert Powlson will kick off the evening with some quality minimal soundwork.

VJ Magdatt & VJ Matthijs van Henten
Tonight’s images will be once again presented by VJ Magdatt who is the resident VJ of Adhd Sessions nowadays. His interactive way of working is pretty unique to the VJ community, this is why we think he suits the Adhd concept very well. During the set of Dia.chro.na the images will be taken over by Matthijs van Henten who’ll present a special live-cinema set prepared for the performance of Dia.chro.na.

Go to Club LA on june 23rd for a relaxed evening with good sounds from all stylistic corners of techno. All this costs just 7 Euro! The evening kicks off at 22:00 and ends at 05:00. Club La is situated on the Kerkstraat 52, Amsterdam (crosses Leidsestraat).
