Noodlanding! in Paradiso has some special quests.Producer and Dj duo Basement Jaxx are coming to theNetherands to do the support of Robbie Williams, and after that they go downtown to Paradiso for an intimate afterparty. Time for some funky music with freaky beats.
Years ago Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliff started to organise party’s in the London underground. Every month a little Mexican restaurant changed into a nightclub and soon it was ‘the place to be’. How come? Because it was different what happened in there. Felix en Simon did it all with there own style and flair. They mixed funk and seventies disco with soul, house and pounding techno. Rooty the night was called. Years later it would be the title of there second album.
On there own label Atlantic Jaxx the released several EP’s and true the years they left the deep-house and treaded it for the typical Basement Jaxx sound. It’s energetic and psychotic and influenced by soul, jazz, reggae, house and samba but also with traditional British sounds like punk and rave. In 1999 there debut ‘Remedy’ is there with immediate success like ‘Red Alert’ and ‘Rendez-Vu”
This Noodlanding will have a wide collections of musical styles and will be as progressive as Basement Jaxx is known for all over the world. Doors open at 23h. Minimum age is eighteen.
