On the 16th of June the final edition of Helter Skelter will take place. With the new residents Suetek and Basskowski this will be the forerunner of what can be expected in September. This night will start of great; with a live show of Khan, the musical brain and wonderboy behind Captain Comatose. Together with Prince' little brother Snax he rocks every room with their uplifting electrofunk-housepop.
Khan, was born of a Finnish mother and Turkish father, and grew up as an outsider in a hostile Frankfurt. In the late 80s, Khan was involved in the pionering Cologne technoscene under the names Air Liquide, Jammin Unit and Khan & Walker. In 1992 he left for New York where he lived and worked for a couple of years. From then he worked with many well-known artists like Andre Williams, Jon Spencer, Diamanda, Galas, Stereo Total's, Françoise Cactus, Twin Peak’s Julee Cruise and Kid Congo Powers (known from Nick Cave). With them he produced his album 'No Comprendo' in 2001, on Indie Rock recordlabel Matador. Later he moved to Berlin and started dance combo Captain Comatose with New Yorker Snax. Ultrafashionable recordlabel Playhouse released 2 albums of these super entertainers. Khan live is just like Captain Comatose all about entertaining, great funk, danceable (electro)house and original vocal electropop. This will be their only show in Holland, so don't miss it!
