News: magnetronik - 1 year anniversary

Magnetronik – 1 year anniversary

Next Saturday Magnetronik will be up and running for exactly threehundred-and-sixtyfive days, and that’s why we bring you a stunning line-up! We can look back on five amazing editions, and obviously that’s something we owe to all of you: thanks for the support! In the second year of Magnetronik we hope to add more interesting artists to the bunch of musicians that have already played our partynights. After musical heroes like Reinhard Voigt, Krause Duo, Sammy Dee, Guido Schneider, Magda and Troy Pierce we can add 3 international renowned artists to our list on Saturday June 10th.

The first name to blow out the birthday candles is an American techno-pioneer that the Dutch audience rarely gets a chance to see. Daniel Bell is known for his superior releases on labels such as Logistic, Perlon, Tresor and +8, not to mention his own labels 7th City and Accelerate. Dan Bell has been producing and playing minimal techno ages before the term ever got mentioned. So this night it’s up to this ‘old-school-teacher’ to show us ignorant partyfreaks how it’s done!

The next hotshot we have in store for you is German houselover Zip. Thomas Franzmann is, together with Markus Nicolai, the highest ranking man of one of the most influental electronic record labels currently active: Perlon.
Under his alias Dimbiman, and together with buddy Sammy Dee as Pantytec, Zip frequently hits the vinyl charts. Better yet, every releases hits the bulls-eye!
Zip is one of Berlins most popular DJ’s, and will unoubtly show us the reason why!

The third international on our list is Argentinian youngster Barem, who will make his European debute at Magnetronik! The Argentinian capital Buenos Aires is home to a whole crew of talented producers, who currently get a lot of support and respect from all over the planet. Barem released an EP on the eye-marking netlabel Unfoundound, and remixed for The Hague label Phonocult. Grandmaster Richie Hawtin himself played these records until there were no tomorrow, and that’s why a release on M_nus couldn’t be withheld. After the summer this youngster will give us an EP on Phonocult with a remix by Heartthrob. After all this is said and done it should be clear: Barem is hotter than ALL red peppers from Chili! Warning: if Dan Bell is our schoolteacher, Barem is the smartest kid in the class!

These tree internationals will be supported by our residents Jason & the Argonauts and Wesdex. J&A will open the the night around 0.00 hours with a liveset that’s renewed especially for this occasion: somewhat more easy going, but with enough drive to funk your ass off! It’s party guaranteed wherever this musical freakshow travels! The same can be said for Wesdex. With his easy mix of electrohouse and melodic minimal tunes he shows why he’s a Magnetronik-resident time after time again.

Tickets are 12,50 euro and will be available at the door. To prevent a queue, the doors of club Poema will open at 23.30 already. There is NO closingtime for this party! Like our German neighbours like to claim: Party ohne Ende!

Mmm. Not gonna visit it, to busy for my study (want to finish it @ the end of June). Really fucked up, but study is more important than Dan Bell. Will play some sets from that guy this weekend :-)
