Next to Detroit and Berlin, Naples can be seen as one of the most important cities in the development of todays techno music.

After colleague and buddy Marco Carola showed Utrecht what Italy is like, Danilo Vigorito will take over the decks at Poema for a stunning five (!) hours on Saturday May 20th.

Vigorito has been an important player in the techno world for years, with decent releases on labels such as Genetic, Primate, Zenit and his own Intelligence and Orion Muzik. The quality of his DJ sets however casts a shadow over his releases: Danilo has the great ability to set a place on fire, and that’s why his popularity rises to great heights these days. As Danilo is not familiar with the off-day-phenomenon, we can be sure his 5 x 60 minutes in Poema won’t even be long enough.

Not only Vigorito makes his debute at Poema; Size will open the night and pave the way for the Italian Funk. Next to a rising star in DJ-world, Size is one of the main forces behind the Decompression parties. With performances at Monocult and Psseudonym, his residency at Integrate, and his upcoming gig at Awakenings, it’s more than clear that this 24 year old youngster from Leiden has not reached his destination by far.
