The image of Sónar 2006’ campaign revolves around the classic concept of the “still life” in art and its reinterpretation in a contemporary context.A series of images depict inanimate objects in a given space sharing the following features: exquisite pictorial finish, chromatic elegance, and illumination that exert a powerful effect of calmness, well-being and harmony.
A distinctive feature of these photographs is the appearance of inanimate objects such as food, wax figures, landscapes, stuffed animals and buildings which, unhampered by conventional reason, offer an unusual perspective on our world.
Unlike other editions, this year’s campaign includes nine different images without any apparent connection. They’re even confusing; though when seen as a group, they acquire a sense of unity.
The complete series, which appears in the flyer, can give rise to as many interpretations and readings as the consumer and/or spectator likes.
