News: boem tsjak pt 2

Boem Tsjak pt 2 After the very successful and completely sold out first edition, I-f and Professor X will headline 2nd edition of Boem Tsjak festival in Amsterdam

The festival is a showcase for various Dutch techno- and electro labels and gives both well established acts and upcoming talents a chance to do their thing. This edition includes names like I-f, Professor X, Alden Tyrell and Shinedoe.

Apart from co-organizer Steffi (Klakson) the line-up for Friday has 3 well known names from the world of electro/italo/disco. Dj Serge is the guy behind Rotterdam’s clone empire (shop, distribution and label). A well regarded dj worldwide, he brings a varied mix of disco, techno and electro. Tonight’s live act is Rude 66, bringing us a brand new live set. Friday’s highlight is without a doubt I-f. One of the founding fathers of the resurgence of electro and italo, it’s his first time behind the decks in Amsterdam in a long time. His incredible mixing technique and superb selection of obscure italo and disco, combined with the latest releases of his own labels, guarantee a full and steaming dancefloor.

Saturday’s program will continue longer with an extended line-up. Marco Bernardi from Scotland will do a live set, and his label boss Klen from Frustrated Funk will do a dj set later in the evening. There is also attention for quality techno, with Shinedoe, who recently made a name with 2 international hits, doing a dj set and Holland’s latest techno talent Quinn doing a live set. Most noticeable act of the night is Professor X, a legendary name from the US electro- and hiphop scene. After producing a string of electro singles, he was one of the founders of the legendary NWA together with dr. Dre. These days he’s back to music making again, and his oldskool electrofunk will appear soon on Clone Records. Last but not least for tonight is Alden Tyrell. With a debut album coming up, he will bring his steaming version of Italo-disco in a live set.
