In keeping with our promise to feature the best of the best techno artists, on the 25th of March, club night Issue will showcase techno legend Jeff Mills. After the successful kick off with Billy Nasty, Issue will again produce a night of quality techno, this time in both rooms of this popular venue.
Dutch talent “Vincent de Wit” will warm up the crowd in the main room. De Wit, a dj/producer who is known for his minimal and deep sound, has already proven to be multi-sided, and his productions on labels such as Audio Assault, Patterns and Planet Rhythm are internationally renowned. Whether it’s with his live set or dj set, he always knows how to please the crowd. De Wit will play a minimal and calm dj set at this Issue second edition.
Jeff Mills, the techno hero from Detroit, will take over the turntables (which are combined with a 909 drum machine) directly after Vincent in the main room.
Mills was one of the founders of the Detroit techno collective, “Underground Resistance”, with which he became famous in the nineties. He also established the record label, “Axis Records”, in 1991 and later the sub-label, “Purpose Maker”.
Mills is still regarded as one of the most progressive techno musicians in the world and continues to be part of the most influential group of dj/producers around today. With his minimal, yet funky style, he’s guaranteed to take Issue’s second edition to a gigantic climax.
In the meantime, two gentlemen who need no introduction for the techno lover – Bart Skils and Lauruz Lauhaus – will fill the small room with their well-known minimal sound.
Skils, known from his own “Voltt”, “Mono” and “Traffic” nights, can be found behind the decks on almost all the major techno events. He recently made his first steps as a successful producer by releasing two tracks on the label, “Pure Plastic”, from Mark Broom.
Lauruz Lauhaus is also one of the founders and residents of the Traffic and Mono events. His style is a darker-side combination of house, techno and electro – the perfect supplement to the evening.
Tickets can be bought in presale for 18,- euro (excl fee.) at Ticketbox, Beep! and the usual pre-sale addresses.
