Miss Djax: "RAW is created from the heart; unpolished, rough and with a fat wink to my big love - Old-Skool Techno".Miss Djax: "RAW is created from the heart; unpolished, rough and with a fat wink to my big love - Old-Skool Techno".
After working hard as a dj for over fifteen years, Miss Djax finally found time to spend time in the studio to record her first ever artist album. The result is twelve pumpin’ oldskool techno tracks.
With RAW she reverts to the techno sound of the early nineties. “It is a tribute to an old love that doesn’t die”, thus Miss Djax. The so-called Djax-feeling prevails on the album. “That means that I do things on my gut feeling, by following my heart. For me there is no need to analyze the music I make. This will only result in more artificiality. I hope that this record carries the Djax feeling. But most of all RAW has become a record to party with!”
On RAW, Miss Djax worked with DJ Rush. He too, cherishes is own unique style. DJ Rush did his vocal magic on tracks as ‘Club Hammer’ and Sick of U’. Miss Djax: “His voice fits these tracks perfectly. No wonder that those are my favorites. My other favorites are ‘Brain Candy’ which is a mean acid trip and ‘Techniek Stad’. To me this tracks reflects Eindhoven…”
Crack House and Sick of You, the first 2 vinyl releases taken from RAW are heavily supported by techno cracks like Dave Clark, Laurent Garnier ("Love it"), DJ Rush ("kicks ass on the dancefloor"), Jan Liefhebber ("Aciiiiid!!!") and Sebastian Prelar ("very good shit").
RAW has been released as on cd and 3LP drop-dead-gorgeous-limited edition-vinyl. The vinyl album includes a 12" size comic book and red, white and blue vinyl.
