Since modern electronic music would not look the same without him, we dedicate our upcoming show to him. Guest will be synthesizer guru Rob Hordijk and for musical support DJ Seutek, along with the second finalist of the Bootleg DJ Contest; DJ Ley.
Bob Moog
What would the world of modern music be like without the inventions of Bob Moog? One answer would be: very boring. Bob Moog’s namesake analogue synthesizers have affected popular music in ways he might not have expected back in 1954 when he began building Theremins with his father. But 50 years later, Bob’s musical instruments have catapulted so many styles of music into the future, and his contributions to both players and technicians grow even more profound in retrospect.
Rob Hordijk
For years Rob has been designing and building high-end analogue synthesis modules for selected customers. His experience with the design of analogue synthesizers and audio electronics spans a period of well over 25 years, therefore he knows the Moog designs and 'sound' quite well. Furthermore he works as a consultant for Clavia and the Haags Gemeentemuseum, that has a large collection of analogue synthesizers amongst their vast collection of musical instruments. Ttill he finds time to make electro and experimental music with his friends and hang out with the guys from Bunker, Creme, etc. in The Hague.
Seutek
Seutek is a real all-round electronic music deejay. Born 1976 in Dusseldorf (Germany), he started spinning vinyl at the tender age of 14 blending old House, Hip-hop and Hip-house records in local venues in his hometown Rotterdam at that time. Going deeper into the music Seutek discovered the early Detroit Techno and Chicago house as well as his fathers old Kraftwerk collection.
DJ Ley
On his 14th Leon Hoogeveen discovered house music thanks to his teacher and good friend Dj Nozem. After spinning club music for a year he switched to techno, this turned out to be the big passion for Ley. After playing for a couple of years he decided to try to play on three decks, this was a big success!
