A. PMS - Keep On - Kemist Remix 8:59
Very uplifting and very creative. Yet it has a dark and slight progressive feel.
Great track with lot’s of rhythms and layers that will move anyone to the dancefloor.
B. PMS - Keep On - Original 7:12
A much tougher track but definitely groovy! Techy sounds and a thumping bassline.
Truly a high nrg peak hour dancefloor bomb.
About Kemist
During the late 70's, Kemist discovered his love for Reggae.
He immerses himself in the culture and music. His Favorites Artists were mostly the unknown underground
DJ’s like Yellowman and Fathead, Toyan, Clint Eastwood & General Saint just to name a few.
Toasting and mixing over the hypnotizing rhythms of groups like Roots Radics, Sly & Robbie and mixed by the best engineers,
the “Dub Kemist and Dub Specialists” such as Scientist, King tubby, Prince Jammy and Mad Professor. In the early 80's, at the young age of thirteen, Kemist joined an underground reggae group. During that time hw was involved in sound checking, behind a mixing board or turntables, spinning the latest tunes from London and Jamaica. Due to the fact that reggae has become more and more computerized Kemist’s love for the music has wane. At that time he was as well Dj-ing with his brother at his mobile sound system. They were heavily involved in the local circuit in France, dropping weekend parties playing all kind of music. That’s when he heard house music for the first time. When he moved to America in 1989 he decided to take music production very seriously.
He interned in a recording studio where he learned about sampling, recycling and every skill that is needed to produce and remix. Not long after that, Kemist immersed in the NYC club scene. Tunnel, Twilo, Palladium, Vinyl, were his regular hangouts. There he witnessed the best DJ’s in action.
Now, as a bonafide producer/remixer, Kemist has released some great tracks and remixes:
